Tapchangers and Switchgear contain moving parts, where much of the existing equipment is now over forty years old. much of this equipment is no longer supported.
A major part of this service is our range of Maintenance Kits to help meet the challenge of maintaining and keeping these valuable and vital asset working to ensure stability of the Electricity supply and distribution network.
Our Maintenance Kits, sometimes called Preventative Maintenance Kits (PM Kits) are divided into three Categories:
Routine Maintenance Kits
These Kit’s enables you to undertake a planned routine maintenance and contains the common consumable parts needed. This enables you as the end user to remove the old worn/burnt components and replace them with our clearly identified ‘pre-packaged’ items. Powerserve are able to offer a full replenishment service that meets your logistical needs, through our Service Centre in Harlow.

Major Overhaul Kits
Major Overhaul kits contain the more obscure parts which are used in addition to a routine maintenance kits as part of a planned extensive overhaul, and are designed to ensure the equipment’s life is extended well into the future and beyond.

Our emergency kits are used where reactive maintenance and emergency repairs are required. In this instance our emergency kits are available to limit your outage times and where restoration of supply is needed quickly.
